94 se cuts out and dies
I bought a 94 bonnie for my son yesterday and on the way home (5 miles) it cut out and died once when trying to take off from a stoplight. It didn't sputter, just cut out and died. The car still had power and it fired right back up. Also on the way home, it sputtered and "almost" died while pulling into one of the side streets.
Today when moving it from my driveway to a parking space about 100 yards away, it cut out again.
Gas gauge is between 1/4 and 1/2 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I've thought bad gas or electrical (maybe).
Is there any known issues with this car that could/would cause problems like this? (like ignition modules in grand prixs) Thankfully my son doesn't have his license yet so I can take some time to tinker with it before he needs to drive it.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Battery cables are the prime suspect with those symptoms. Disconnect both from the battery and remove the protective boots. When they corrode, the boots hide it. If you find corrosion, clean it very well or replace the cables with new parts. Apply dielectric grease and reassemble.
Then do the same at the hot feed to the starter, alternator, and the 4 grounds under the ICM (coil) bracket.
We see about a dozen of these a month.
