Jason is right, as it'* a very complicated system. The compressor is meant to run ELC, with the utility inflator as an added option. There are control valves and relays involved, not to mention the ELC computer.
If you got the trunk trim, a relay, and the compressor, you could do the inflator by itself. From a wrecker, this would be over 100 bucks. That'* just for the compressor itself.

My own car is an SSEi that has it installed at the factory; I didn't mean to imply that I'd bought a pump at Jewel-Osco and retrofitted it into a Bonne that didn't have one; sorry. I haven't tried to do that.
I got one of those spare battery air compressor multi tool things for christmas one year that works well. Its small and fits in the side of the trunk without taking up too much room.
