Default AC no power to Clutch Coil

Guys can you give me a hand.

I have no power getting to my Clutch coil what so ever. I changed the clutch and pump thinking this was the problem so it has a new one on it and same problem. The system is empty and YES YES I know there has to be pressure to get it to turn the clutch on.

So I got info for it and I jumpered the cycling switch and I get no power to the clutch coil.

Key in on postion cycle switch jumped I get power to low side switch and the high side switch checked all the gorunds and they are good.
I get power from the out going side of the cycle switch but that goes into the firewall and I can not track it and I followed the clutch coil power wire from the clutch to the firewall and there is no short and no power from where it comes out of the main wire harness.

Where can I check what is going on? I need to get the clutch to power up to get coolant in. I have done the by passes but can not get it to work.

I had full coolant before I replaced the pump/clutch and when I did that I thought the compressor was shot and it wasn't it is some other problem.

what is this eec and pcm you guys are talking about? I also replaces both fuses and replaced and checked all relays with a good one.

Is there something under the dash that I need to check? Is it possible the AC/heater switch is shot?

Please help

It would really help to know your car model and year. Typically this is inserted in the sig. Welcome to the Club!

I'd hate to say it without the being any sort of coolant/oil in the system - run a +12 right to the compressor it see if it'* it. Better yet, get an ohm meter accross the two tabs and report back w/ results.

Good Luck !

Figure where the relay is and check it.

Without digging out the 93 manual...

does the motor have to running for the computer to call for compressor clutch engagement? It seems to me the clutch doesn't engage without motor running just with key on and dash board settings calling for compressor engagement.

What I'm saying is the first post says the key is on but doesn't say the motor it running...

grounding the green/white wire on the first relay in the relay center engages the compressor clutch. key has to be on run. you will see and hear the clutch working.
this is the wire the pcm puts to ground to engage it. all this tells you is the clutch and it'* enabling circuit is working.

ok I will go back home turn key to run engine not running and if the relay isn't kicking in to engage the clutch what does this tell me?

Do I unplug the relay and just take a jumper from the wire to ground or do I have to splice into that wire?

Thanks

just bare a little bit of the wire and hold a wire to it and ground. leave relay in. if you know the relay is good, it will tell you if the compressor clutch is good, or you have an open circuit from the relay to the compressor.

I was just thinking about grounding out that wire that is great but when you ground out the relay will this send a ground to the compressor clutch or will it send 12 volts to it?

I know there is no volts what so ever going to the clutch. I can take power from the battery and hook up ground and power and it locks up the clutch.
