Default ac/heating problem

my ac is broken. when i turn the car on it will blow hot air even though the temp control says 60 degrees. if i turn the car off and on again then it will blow cool air. i have a 96 bonny. any suggestions?

Is the temperature display blinking on the electronic climate control unit?

it blinks on occasion, sometimes its lit solid then another time it is blinking.

OK, to solve your problem you need to have the HVAC scanned by the dealer to get the HVAC code. That will tell you what is wrong.

That sux - the dealer has to scan it????? They charge $80 to do that.....

I have the same problem with my 92 SSE. temp display is blinking and it blows hot air.

Does anyone know the cause of the blinking?

Not for you my friend. The 92-93 models can be done inside the car.
