Default Are AC Delco Professinal Iridium Spark Plugs good?

I bought some AC DELCO PROF. IRIDIUM Spark Plugs anygood. I haven't put them in yet cause im waiting on my Taylor Wires to come, but I thought I would buy those plugs cause they were the best AC Delco plugs they make at NAPA. I'm just wondering if you would recommend those are something. Thanks.

You will not be able to detect a performance increase over standard new AC Delco plugs, Champion, Bosch, etc. correctly gapped, of course. A dyno, all other things equal, will not reveal any significant difference either. My 2 cents worth.

Many of us have had problems with premature failure of Bosch plugs. The 3800 doesn't seem to like them much. If in doubt, go stock. NGK Irridiums are AC Delco'*. NGK V-Powers work well, too.

That'* your brother? I'm sorry.

Just kidding. Taylor wires and NGK V-powers are what I'm running. Good choice. Glad to see I'm not the only smart one around here!

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with Bosch Platinums. I haven't always used them in my autos but the one'* I have used them in gave me exemplary service.

My wife'* '92 Honda Accord EX just turned over 84K with them. Absolutely no problems.
Prior to my '92 Bonne I had them in an '84 300zx for 145k and now my Bonne is on its second set. I changed the first set at 120k. Man, they looked like the day I put them in! Now I'm on my second set at 84k.

I have 20k on a set in my '95 Vette LT1 with 20K (315HP). Absolutely no problems to redline either.

Now, I'm probably not as hard on my pistons as some of you, but I have been known to get on it when the urge arises.

Ted

PS - To those of you experiencing premature failure of the Bosche'*, I assume you are applying a very small amount of secondary Scandium powdered pellets to the tip of the negative posts aren't you?

Well speaking from personal expierence with both the Bosch & AC Delco Platinums, let me tell you that the Bosch lasted about two years & wore 0.015" in that time too. The AC Delco Platinums (Exact same as NGK Irridiums BTW) have been in my car one year now with ZERO wear on them too! No misses either like the Bosch gave me too.
