Hey guys second time I replace the rotors.. with a "better quality performance" from Napa.. and the ceramic pads from Napa as well and rotors are warped again.

Please can anyone tell me by experience the brand of rotors whether slotted or not, and the brand of ceramic pads along with the rotors, please. So they don't warp. I guess what I want is a survey of prices, product brands, websites and performance of product before I attempt to buy a pair of rotors, that are going to warp again..

Bendix rotors and pads. You'll never regret it.

Bendix have a good rep around here. So do Powerslots; but you need to torque your lug bolts evenly.

look around for some cheap o'*....i get mine from the parts house for 6 bucks a pop....i usually get 2 years out of em before they warp....i would rather spend $50 on rotors over a 6 year period than buy some store brands, they are all made in china anyway

i dont agree, there is a big difference in quality of rotors by buying a good name brand. ive warped rotors in months because i bought the cheap brands. it also depends on how you drive as well

go with bendix or powerslots, they wont let you down

Remember... brakes are what STOP you. Would you really trust a pair of $12 rotors to stop you everyday and then also in an emergency? I sure wouldn't. You can't put a price on safety.... ESPECIALLY if you carry passengers. Your life and the lives of others depend on those brakes to work every time.


If you want GOOD, RELIABLE brakes... I would stick with the name brand rotors and pads that are recommended by most people on here. Trust me, many people here drive their cars like they stole them and they want good brakes.

but i would recomend using a semi-metalic pad if ur having problems with the ceramic.

ceramic being an insulator, provides very poor heat dissapation. and stopping a fairly heavy car creates heat.

so, i definitely think you should try a good quality semi-metalic and just try to warranty those already good quality rotors.

Driving style and heat dissipation are two main factors in warping rotors. Especially highway stops off the exits. I also would try another pad and have the rotors turned.
If there is a Pepboys near you they will do them for $6.

the tolerance for our rotors is pretty narrow. and taking metal off will only hurt in the long run (for heat dissapation).

if you can warranty the rotors you just bought, i would def go that route. if thats not an option, then maybe consdider cutting the rotors.
