That makes sense, it runs pretty smooth overall. Just when the revs get to 1500 it starts tapping. I'm starting to think a lifter may not have collapsed but just maybe sticking. Maybe I'll change the oil and see if that helps, even though I only have about 1500 miles on this Mobile 1 synthetic :?.

You might want to pull the valve cover off and check the springs on that side.

Had 2 of my co-workers (Both good mechanics and honest guys) check out my car today at work. Sadly they both agreed it'* a rod knock and after listening to the noise some more I have to agree. So the search for a new motor begins

I don’t know, I think Boosty’* luck has touched my car. The series 2 bottom end seems a little more fragile then I’ve thought in the past.

My boss in the machine shop has a Auto repair buisness where my motors will be swaped (Just need to find one). And my dad is willing to loan me the money I need to get this fixed, he is feeling my pain too on this surprise.

TJ'* white curse suffered a motor failure recently.

Sorry to see that Ed.. it'* not a luck thing..I damaged my crank on the first motor and hoped for the best. 2nd motor was junk when I got it..3rd is running good.
