When did this start? Any more information you can give us?

I believe the next thing to check is whether you are getting fuel or not.

Why are you sure you are getting spark to the plugs? What did you do the check this?

Is the car trying to start at all, or just turning over with no kick?

If you are absolutely sure you are getting spark to each plug, you will have to check fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Your fuel pump may be the issue.

The more information you give us, the quicker we can focus this in for you.

What is your security light doing? Can you hear the fuel pump? Did you check the fuel pump fuse? You say you have spark, so the only thing that will prevent start is lack of fuel.

If VATS is an issue on a 98, it will prime the cylinders, start the car and then not supply more fuel. 2-4 seconds of running then die.

If you have spark, then it'* almost always fuel.

If you don't have fuel at the rail, I'd check teh fuel pump fuse and relay.

You can have fuel at the rail and not have the car start. In that case, I'd check the fuel injector fuse.

If the injectors are not pulsing, check the injector fuse.

I have changed the fuel pump and the inline fuel filter and pressure isnt the problem. the motor spins faster than normal. I think it has jumped time and I cant find out how to check or reset it because it doesnt have a distributor

Don't think that'* the case. If your crank position sensor went out it wont fire, no spark. You say you have spark and pressure, but the injectors are not spraying.
