Default 98 bonneville hood stuck

The cable is still attached, I have tried pulling on it and also pulled on the cable with pliers. I have not heard it release, We tried pounding on the hood, pulling and pushing while pulling on the cable. How can I get in there? Is there a way to take the hood off by the windshield?

Thanks!

If you can still pull the cable with a pliers, then have someone pull the cable while you lift on the hood. It should pop then. Had to do that about a month ago on a car that came in to my shop. You wont be able to remove the hood by unbolting it when closed. The bolt heads are underneath.

Mine does that too. It took us forever to get it open once when changing the oil. Hitting the hood about 6" from the front and to the left of the grill seems to work lol
