97 ssei rear suspension squeaking
i just replaced all 4 struts with monroe quick struts and i replaced rear sway bar bushings and i am still getting noise what other things could be causing this? And i took the sway bar bushings off again put grease inside and it stopped for about 2hrs and started again i am totally lost.
Can you replicate the noise by pushing up and down on the rear end of the car? If so, see if yo can get it on some ramps and have someone bounce it while you are underneath. That will help you pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. It could be a body mount, control arm, coil spring insulator, etc.
I have the same noise, sounds like it'* coming from my drivers side front suspension.
I haven't had any suspension work done to my car, and the sound doesn't sound that bad, but now I'm curious as to what it might be. The only thing I know the car needs is ball joints, so it could possibly be those?

If it needs balljoints... replace them regardless... but balljoints USUALLY cause a pop or clicking noise... what he is describing im sure is what most of us have dealt with before or are choosing not to deal with right now lol
Ive been told its a rubber bushing that causes it and to spray wd40 on ALL bushings, swingarms, spring tops and bottoms, anything that moves a fraction of an inch when the car is driving, spray it and test to see if it stops with you spray it.... but be smart and spray one thing... then have someone bounce the car, then move on to another part until it stops squeaking, then youve found the problem.
I myself have the same squeak comming from the rear end... i dont know yet what it is... one day soon will get her off the ground and play with the suspension but until then i just turn up the radio and ignore it lol
