97 DIC help

Default 97 DIC help

I Just got a 97 Bonneville 3.8L SSE and the engine is lit on the DIC, theres no check engine light and all gages are showing good reading.


any ideas????

What color is it on the DIC? Yellow it a problem. What area is lit up?

the pic of the engine lights up yellow, its not on until after maybe 3 mins of the engine running....and not everytime just most, but when it comes on it stays on till you turn the engine off........

EDIT: i should also mention that the car seems to run fine...................

Hmmm, check your fluid levels. Washer, coolant, brake, oil, etc.

OK, I checked the manual and that is your check engine light. If it is on steady it'* a emission problem and you will need to have the code pulled. Could be from a vacuum leak, we will know more when you post the code(*) Places like autozone do that for free.

there is a seperate check engine light on my dash... the little picture of the engine that is on the dash means there are codes set as well??

ok i pulled the codes and there ar no codes stored and no pending codes......also i figured out it only comes on if you sit at idle for a few mins...any ideas?
