Default 96 SE l36 electrical issue

I have a 96 SE w/ a L36 engine
runs for a while, dies
but when it does die it will not restart for 1/2 hour or so, AND the power windows and door locks also die until the car will start and run again
any ideas what this could be?
throws no codes, no ses light nothing
very frustrating
:?
thanks

You're gonna like this one. It'* an easy & free fix. Give me a minute & I'll add a link to the Techinfo article.

Here'* the link. Look for the driver'* side ground bus. It'll be the connector with the black wires going to it.

Or the battery cables. Go after what Ted said, but also disconnect your battery cables and pull the boots off. You might be surprised by what you find.

We get 10-12 cars a month with the same symptoms and the same repairs.
