either that or the flanges may be a tiny bit warped and may need some exahust manifold gaskets as they come from the factory without them...

The cracks seem like a good possibility tho

Alright, when I'm allowed outside, I'm going to check the HB and until my ported manifolds arrive, I'm going to lay off the throttle.

I wonder why I can only hear it when I first start moving though. No problems with idle and no noise after the first couple of seconds.

Hehe...We are going to think you aren't let out of the padded room often if you keep mentioning not being allowed out.

Once the motor is rolling and you are moving things are noisier, your sound wasn't very loud. Probably getting drown out.

i had the same problem with mine, turned out it was a motor mount...get'em checked out

I've seen a weak tensioner cause some odd noises under a quick rev. It might be something to look at witht he motor mounts.
