That windage tray is the gasket also.

Does the oil pan have any windage tray in it w/o this tray/gasket that'* currently on the pickup tube?

I assume you got a gasket that is not a windage tray to replace it correct?

And ths is what my car came with :

So the question is......why did I get a blue rubber gasket when the 95 SSEi didn't come with one?

I think there'* an overlap on when the pan designs were changed. 92-94 has a metal windage tray built in and takes that gasket you have. 96-99 have that plastic windage tray gasket that your car had on it. I think your car may have the newer design of the 96-99.

Well it'* all back together with some needed advise from BillBoost. I'm going to keep an eye on it to see if it'* leaking. I didn't use the gasket in the pictures above since it wasn't the same as what I had. That was a waste of $27.42 Canadian at my local Auto Parts store. As long as it doesn't leak, I'm good to go......keep an eye on my next post. The problems continue.
