I did read that post, but mines coming up QDM 1, not A? Or maybe A = 1? I don't really know. I'm completly new to GM cars, all I have had is trucks. And man was I missing out not having a SSEi Bonne!!! But I'm trying to get it to where the SES light quits coming on. I know what to do about the IAT sensor, I have that un pluged, when it'* plugged in the car runs like absolute [b][i][u]CRAP. Right now the scanner says it'* IAT is -40 degrees, when I have it plugged in it'* about 150 degrees. That could maybe be the problem is the car thinks I'm living in the arctic circle?

Thanks,
Nate

Nate, if your IAT reads 150° when it'* plugged in, it'* either reading that temp (dangling exposed in the engine bay) or you have hot air getting into your airbox somewhow. Make sure it'* plugged in, and that the sensor itself is installed correctly.

The other possibility is the sensor being bad. It can be checked. It should read a specific resistance at certain temps. I can dig up my chart if you're interested.

QDM1 is the same as QDM A.

Go ahead and post it if you could.....That would be great. I'm still perfecting my CAI and I'm working on relocating the sensor.....I don't know how it runs better un plugged though?

Thanks nate

Here'* my theory......

Your O2 sensor is reading lean. You have a fuel delivery problem. Or your O2 is requesting the wrong AFR because it'* old. By leaving your IAT unplugged, it defaults to a colder condition, richening your mixture back to where it needs to be.

Chart coming up.

That was kinda the theory I was working off of. I understand what you're saying will.

Thanks
