95 Bonneville SE Power steering problem
Hi everyone have a question on the powersteering pump on a 95 bonnie SE. I purchased this car about a week ago to add to my fleet of bonnevilles, on the about the third day that I had it the powersteering pump started making noise and the steering got hard, I added a little fluid as it was a bit low but not dry, and worked the wheel and seemed to get rid of the squeel and all was fine for about a day. Now the steering is rock hard and the pump does not make any noise at all. My question is do the p.*. pumps completely go out or could this be a problem with the steering rack. The belt and tensioner are fine so not a belt problem. Thanks

fixed
Turned out to be the power steering return hose, rotted and leaking at the metal cooling fins. Fluid was running out almost as fast as it was going in. Hose was a p i t a to fix but got er done. Thanks for the ideas.
