I have an update on the car and what I have been doing.

First off, the car started to fail the next day after I was at Gordy’s. (Figures, they never fail when the mechanic is there). In addition to the other items that I have done, I have metered wires from the Crank and Cam sensors to the ICM and to the PCM. I replaced the plug wires, while the car was running, I sprayed the circuit board for the PCM with circuit cool, and I reseated the EPROM.

I talked to one person that worked for an electronic repair shop that was under contact for Delco to re-ferb PCM’s. He stated that Delco had a problem from 86 to 95 with cold solder joints. To test for this, with the car running, give the PCM a couple of good hard slaps with an open hand. If the car acts up, replace it. Well, it did not fail.

I talked to the Service Manager at the local dealer. He stated that generally 4 items cause the 341 and 1361 codes; Crank and Cam sensor, ICM, or the PCM (in that order).

A couple of days ago, I replace the PCM. The car is running just fine. I will wait a couple more weeks before I am convinced that the problem is corrected.

Got your e-mail as well. Glad to hear things may now be fixed. Too bad it didn't act up while it was here, might have been easier to diagnose. If that's all this was wrong with the car, you got yourself a good deal. It wa a pretty clean looking '95! :P
