put a pressure tester on it.clean up the area first beforehand with brake clean to make it easier to see,then pressurize,see if it holds pressure and check for leaks.sounds like a small leak,your overflow tank should not keep going dry.try with engine cold,if it doesnt leak try with a warm engine.if you dont have a tester,clean the area,make sure the radiator is full and just let it run till you spot it.

i forgot,also check for a pitted thermostat housing

Sorry guys, still trying to figure out what this is. I may see if I can get my hands on a pressure tester. I guess I'll hold off on the stop leak

yes dont put stop leak in.that will only clog your heater core and radiator,it wont fix a leaking intake,hose,overflow tank,gasket,corroded thermostat housing,radiator cap,ect.

Hmm so here is what I found today ..



This is a coolant leak, no question. However, I have been letting my overflow tank sit empty for a couple of weeks now. I know, not the greatest idea, but I have been checking under the radiator cap and it is still as full as it can be. So if this were indeed a current coolant leak, wouldn't the level below the cap be dropping as well? I feel like the leak has to be in the hose, coolant tank, or cap to stay full past the overflow connection.

Heat works like a champ, only had the car a couple of years and learning as I go.. Explain?

I forgot you had a series 1 where that hose is is where the coolant elbows would be on a series 2

It was factory installed in GM,Honda and Chrysler
