[quote="94BonnieSE"]Yeah i feel the same,
if it wasnt for the newly replaced brace it would have gotten much much worse. :(
but i still want to find out why this happened!!
i hav 130,000K on my bonnie, should the axel go??
i want to know if this could be because im using bigass winter tires...???
thanks for all your help guys.
Axles go when they do...it could happen at any time...however usually a CV joint fails before the actual axle breaks. (ps..brakes or break..please..not brace) Fix it and move on..it'* very uncommon... unless one had been abusing the car. Then it would be expected that anything could break.

Did you have a wheel bearing go out, and finally the axle ground down until it broke, or...?

i did not have my cam handy when my friend and i took it apart in his garage.
the axleboot on the passenger side dislogged/broke, that would make for the wheel (not the tire it self, if you guys get wht i mean) to shake up and down, my bottom brace* (the thing that hold the calipper and the pads and disc the bottom of it) began to rub againts the inside of my tire rim/mag and got warped, because as this happened i continued to drive the car thingking it was the ABS jamming my brakes on .
nothing was loose on the wheel it self, like the brace was tightly holding the calipper and the calipper tighly holding the pads... you know.
the car right now is still on jacks at my friends. i will pass by tomorrow again to see how it all lookslike when it was taken competlely apart.
i ordered a brand new axle,bushingsand joints
i do not think the balljoint is going to make it afterwe pound it out.
im gonna try to take a pic for a better mental picture for you guys.. but everyone that has seen it has said i was lucky not to loose the transmission or worse. (nothing worse than that.)

94 Bonnie brake Problems...Could be ABS *UPDATE*
Hey guys,
sorry to leave this thread without closure, i actually forgot about it.
what happened was my CV boot on the passenger side began to leak,
i had the car inspected when i bought it, so i guess it wasnt leaky then.
about 2 months after the the passenger side cv shaft or axel (not too sure on the correct term but i will try to MS Paint a drawing of wut im talking about) snapped at the boot so im guessing it was the joint that came out.
this happened at highway speeds.. and i drove the car for about 4-6km after that
anyways the bonnie is doing fine now... execpt for a minor minor intake gaskte leak..
i bought the gaskets kit and im waiting for the weather to warm up so my friend and i can tackle the problem. its leaking about a 1cm of coolant from the resevoir like every two weeks.
thanks for all your help.. and i wish i would hav had my cam with me to show u guys the axel replacement and the old one with the chewed caliper.
p.*. i then read that for 94 bonnevilles had a faulty passanger side boot.

We've had people here re-gasket, only to discover after the fact, that the problem was the manifold failure. Just be prepared and informed before you tackle the problem, so you get it right the first time. (Not sure if 1994 is affected by the problem though.)

Anyhow, on to your gasket leak now. Good luck...

94s were not efected however had shoddy intake gaskets..mine leaks about 1 cm of coolant every month and has for a while...nothing serious but keeps the engine dirty.
