What about a bad coolant sensor my camaros went out and did what you describe it would run 5 to 20 minutes and then die. I replaced the coolant senor and it was back to normal. Good luck

I don't think so. By random I mean sometimes it only takes a second to die or sputter and throw a code after starting it from cold other times it could make it out of the driveway other times 15 miles etc.... usually it will restart immediately other times it could take a bit of cranking to get it to fire up. It always has good spark though and going too see about the fuel pressure tommorrow. Thx for the info though. I know eventually I will get it figured out.

I had the same problem for months at first I thought it was my fuel pump and then filter both checked out fine then I had weird electrical problems in addition to the stalling. It turned out to be a heavily coroded positive cable it was even coroded inside the shielding all the way up to the maxi-fuse blocks. When the voltage drops the car does strange things.
