so i'm drivin on the freeway the other day and all of a sudden the radio goes off, the speedo and tach needles went crazy and the check gauges light came on along with a ding like when a dummy light goes on in the dash. 2 seconds after that right back to normal. did it one more time about 5 miles down the road. then when i got home it died when i came to a complete stop twice. so i took my alternator in and it checked out fine. then when i got home i hooked it back up and fired her up. she ran for about a minute and just died!? check gauges light came on. i fired her right back up and she idled all the way up to 190 temp and never skipped a beat.

does anyone have any idea wuts going on with my cruiser? my brother thought maybe crankshaft sensor???

It could be, I have a 92 bonneville and would crank and run fine and and then would shut off. I would crank it the next morning and would turn over but as soon as it got to running temp. and in an idle position it would stall out. Changed the sensor, not more problems.

it very well could be, how did it run after when this happened?

i havent drove it yet ive been driving our other car but i'm gonna take it for a spin tomorrow when i get home from work
