Default 93' L27 oil issues

I always get Mobil 1 fully syn for my cars and have been doing so with my 93' for over a year. My first oil change with the car was regular oil and it got dark at around 2500 miles. Once I swiched to mobile 1 it wasn't as bad. Since I got the new car I haven't been driving the 93' much anymore but yesterday after driving the 93' about 10 miles I checked the oil and it was very tarnished. Worse than i've ever seen. The last oil change I got was 2700 miles ago just before my trip to Chicago in late August.

This can't be right because the 97' which is driven much harder and is at 2000 miles since the last change on regular oil is still practically clear. The 93'* oil was almost black. I don't have an oil gague on the 93' so I have no clue on my oil pressure. The engine doessn't overheat. So what are you're thoughts?

The syn has had time to sit and dissolve deposits? I'm on my first fill of Mobil1 and it looks like a dark honey after 50 miles. I'm guessing it'* getting stuff out of the engine.

Could be it. One of the benefits of Synthetic is the detergents used in it work very good. Maybe something got knocked loose? I'd suggets changing it, and checking for metal flakes in the oil just incase.
