Hi i have a 92 ssei i need help the car runs and drives good but when you accelerate real hard like your going to pass someone there is nothing there it hesitates and it sputters the engine has a miss in it at that time and will back fire then when you let up on the gas it seems to be ok but has died on me at times when you baby it it seems to drive fine i have a 41 code and i have replaced the cam and crank sensors the crank sensor was hitting the balancer inner ring i have tried a new coil pack code was still there the temp gauge is going goofy it will read in the red up and down but the engine is running at normal temps any ideas thanks

Have you replaced the spark plugs or plug wires?

Moved to Mechanical/Bonneville/92-99 for better visibility and search engine indexing.

Hey Dan no i have not tried that yet would bad plugs or wires give me that 41 code ? i have had a couple of people tell me that it is the fuel pump, super charger is bad ,or the timing ring on the balancer is bad or the sensor on the cam sprocket has fallen off dose any of that sound like it could be it thank for responding and im not sure how to move this post thanks Glen
