Default 92 bonneville tranny question

have a bit of an interesting thing happen today, i bought this car about a month ago and have been driving it off and on. The po told me he put a new fuel pump and lines on before i bought it. Well i see the little check gauge light come on while pulling into the bank. well when i come back out it will not start. I roll it backward into an adjacent stall and here the fuel pump catch some fuel. get it started and drive it across the street to a station. Half way there it stalls out, so i bump it into neutral and coast up to the pump(nothing like it). well put some gas in the green beast and she starts right up but the tranny seems to be slipping a little now. In first it seems to slip like a beat up ford with 25 year old clutch. what could have happened crossing the street. I have driven this car hard many times and have never had anything but exhilaration. i check the fluid nice and pink and plenty of it. sorry about the long post but thought the whole story would be informative.

BTW i love my bonnie and can't wait to fix her nice. painted bumpers in two weeks. i'll do some before and after for those interested.
