Default 92 bonneville #5 cylinder not firing??

i have a 92 bonneville se i went to the store the car ran fine no problems what so ever, but when i came back out it started up and was acting like it had a bad plug or wire, really slow goin home. when i got it home i started to take out the plugs and number 5 was wet smelled like gas so i switched plugs and seen it wasnt them so i switched number 5 wire to number three and so on, which the number 5 original that i put on number 3 didnt fire and neither did number 5, so i switched back and everything was fine except the number 5 didnt fire like before. i kinda guessed i need a new coil and new wires. just wonderingif anyone can tell me any info on how they went bad at the same time cause that confused the heck outta me. never heard anyone talk about anything like that or if i may have a different problem. and the wires plugs and coil was changed a lil over 2 years ago also has the magnavox coil as well dont see no cracks or anything so far. thanks

The plugs and wires didn't happen to go bad at the same time. Most likely the wires were degrading over time and the coil stopped firing.

well i had no luck finding anything at the junk yards so i got a new coil and wires and that wasnt the problem, so could it be the module itself or a sensor. thanks again
