92 bonnevile stalls
I have a 92 bonnevile, when car is cold gives somewhat of a hard start. When it starts i can cut the car off and start the car up immediately after that and it will start up fine and run fine for about 10-15 mins, then it will shut itself off and it will not restart, for several, several hours. I had my ignition modual checked and even intalled a new one. still same problem. when i put the key in the ignition
and turn the ignition on i can hear my fuel pump powering on and even after it will not restart. If i keep turning the engine over when it doesnt start i can smell gas flooding. I replaced the ignition coil aswell. Any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went through the same with my 92. It seems the bad ignition module overstressed and destroyed a new set of coils.Get a neon bulb type spark checker from your autoparts store (about $12.00). I bet some or all of the cylinders are not firing.
One of the components may be bad. Rare, but sometimes they are bad straight out of the box. Anyway, the spark checker will confirm that it is in the ignition.
I think the security system would not let the fuel pump start. Still worth looking into.
These models do not set codes from the ignition computer out. Later models can tell you if a particular cylinder is not firing. Get a paper clip and check your codes just to be sure the problem is not elsewhere.
