Default 830 Kpa oil preasure

I was out on the highway for a trip going about 120kph and it was about 25 degrees C outside. I looked down at my oil preasure and it was at the max 830 KPA. I run synthetic 10W30 mobile 1 with a K&N oil filter on there. It did't stay at 830 forever but it fluctuated between about 300 and 830. Is this normal? The manual says as long as it'* above the red area it'* fine, but i thaught i would ask because it seems fairy unusual to me. Usually it around 275KPA.

My O/P circuit is on it'* way out too, except mine fails low, kills the car, blings all the lights at me... If it weren't for my mechanical guage I might beleive it.
