Good to have you back, partner. I have a titanium plate in my hand. When it gets cold, it gets COLD. Keeps me from busting knuckles with the ratchet, too.

I'm not to enlightened on engine parts. Could someone tell me what that is?

That is a TB (throttle body) its what the air intake duct is connected to. That circular plate that looks all rusty (carbon buildup) is what open up when u punch the gas pedal. It lets all the air in and then the computer send more gas to compensate for excess air. I did the same thing as will. I took my TB out when i replaced the supercharger and cleaned it out. I am thinking about replacing some of the sensors in there too since they looked nasty and worn. I dunno if they are shot or not but it wouldnt hurt. I think i may be replacing the IAC sensor first.

I'm going to get my wheel bearings fixed and probably get a tune up, should I have the TB cleaned out also? (I'm sure I won't be able to do it myself) I have 107,600 miles and doubt it has been cleaned.

If you have it done, make sure they take it off the car to clean it. Spraying gunk in there won't even come close.

My plate is from shattering my 5th metacarpal. Memorial day, 2 1/2 years ago. Lost 70% of the bone, had a graft from the rim of my pelvis. 7 surgeries, plate comes out in March. 8 must be my lucky number!

In my car when I took off the MAF screen, the TB wasn't dirty at all, it was a little dirty but not like yours. I don't know if it has been cleaned before but it was clean, and I even got 108,000 miles on my car.

I've had my car 1 yr and 3 months and it has stalled maybe two or 3 times max. Usually it happened when I had been idling for maybe 2 - 3 minutes, which is long for how I drive, and usually when I was facing slightly uphill. It started right back up, and was fine. Do you think that could be the TB or would it have to stall more frequently to be the TB? It has almost 108,000 miles and probably was never cleaned. How much more does anyone guess it would cost in addition to the tune up to get the TB taken off and cleaned? Money'* going to be tight for me soon due to my wheel bearing and rust problem, and tuition'* due tomorrow. Just want to try and save if I can. Thanks.
