Default 3800 Series II In A 1993 Bonneville

I just purchased a 93 Bonne that needs a new engine, does anyone know if the newer (95-99) 3800 Series II motor will work in my 93 or should I just replace it with the same motor....I'm sure, physically the motor will fit but I don't want any electrical problems.

You would need to make some wiring changes at the firewall for cruise control and the main connector for speedo etc. Randman1 did it on Frankenbonne and some AC as well.

Overall..it is much easier to swap in same year compatible.
