Default 1992 supercharger frozen. Do i have to remove it all?

moved to 92-99 TD

Hope there is someone still posting here. I really love my bonny, but the supercharger pulley froze while driving and melted through the belt last week. after reading some posts here, I'd love to tear it apart myself, but I don't think I can seperate the nose assy from the body due to some ridiculous brackets in the way. I am a little leary to pull out those fuel rails to remove the supercharger assembly to have a look inside...

The haynes manual I have says NOTHING about removing a supercharger. I would certainly love a website with a step by step removal process for this 1992 SSEI charger.

Should I try this or not?

Thanks all

I just did that job earlier. That bracket is a pain in the *** it took me about 4 hours total. Although my supercharger did not freeze up, it was definity rattling around. Oh and once you start taking bolts out you'll start to wonder if the power steering pump has to com off.. Well I didnt take it off I just pried up on the mount after all bolts were out and it actually doesnt break, it swivels so dont be afraid to put some muscle into it. My advice is, go for it..

Not sure if we have a step by step currently in techinfo. There is a plethora of information that can be found with the advance search function though.

The bracket is not much fun, easiest way to get out the bolt holding the bracket to the charger is to double nut it. Then the only other annoying item is the power steering throttle body bracket.

Nothing is overly hard or impossible, make sure you have your gasket before you tear into it, although it sounds like your charger had a serious failure.
