I just got home and smelled coolant, checked my Heatercore, nothing for fluid leaking, I look under the hood and it looks like I have a slow leak out of the waterpump.

what'* the hard part about it? looked pretty straight forward when I was looking at it. is there more to it then just putting the new impeller and case on? or is it like an SHO where you have to remove the complete unit and replace it?

support the engine with a piece of wood at least as big as the oil pan and a floor jack, remove torque axis mount (shown in Ed'* pic), then the water pump is a piece of cake. One of the legs of the mount goes underneath the power steering pump. Access the bolts through holes in ps pump pulley. It would be a good idea to replace the pulley right behind the t-a mount (#9), because when it goes, you have to tear the whole thing apart again.
Replace #9 with a steel pulley from NAPA or RockAuto. Note that it'* 3.5", not 3" like most of the rest of the idlers and tensioners.
On the Series 1 the WP is a little tougher, as the accssory bracket also blocks one bolt. Yup. Gotta rip the whole thing loose. Consider yourself lucky.
EDIT:
You might want to read this before you order a pump:

thanks seriously for that last link. I would have gone with the 25$ since the price difference is so little. that is a serious problem considering this is my 2nd vehicle. I can only imagine what that does to the internals on the heatercore if you let it go long enough.. it looks like it'* flaking apart...
