Unhappy 1998 buick lesabre

Okay so a couple of weeks ago I bought a 1998 Buick Lesabre. It has about 168,000 km on it and it was running when i bought it no problems. It'* been sitting in the back of the dealer parking lot for 2 weeks since i have bought it because It needed a break line. So today I clear them to do it. I give them the keys. I had a set of spares on my girlfriends keys as i had her car. I go hop in my Buick to start it and bam it didn't want to start. it just kept cranking and cranking. It wanted to turn over because it made that noise when its about to turn over and stay on but then it would just continue to crank.

So I am wondering wtf? When I bought it ran fine, no one there had the keys it'* just been sitting there for the past 2 weeks and it ran fine no problem started right up every time.

Any idea'*?

I bet the spare set of keys you have were programmed to matched with the vehicle. Stop by the dealer and have them start your car with the keys they have. If it starts with those keys and not the spare set, that'* what the issue is.

I don't know the spare keys look exactly like the other keys. They have that chip thing in them to or w/e its called the only real difference between the 2 keys is the keys i gave them has the key fob on them. I was thinking the same thing, but who knows. If they call me when they try to do the break line telling me it doesn't start then I guess we'll see if its the keys or not. They only other thing i can think of is yesterday it was raining like crazy pretty much all day and lately its been warm enough to melt the snow so there has been a lot of moisture in the air maybe it has to do with that?

Here is a pic of my spare keys and like i said the other keys look exactly like those just black.

Okay so i figured out the problem and its was pretty stupid. lol On my Gf'* keys which is where i put my spares she has something else that has a magnate in it for like a security door so yeah that was interfering with the security system of the car I guess. Should of noticed that lol.

my spare set looks identical to my regular set but the spare ignition key sets the security light off whenever i use it... i think the resister aka "chip" in the key is messing up but it could just be the key and the way its cut i dont know... so i keep them on another keyring but ive never heard of magnetics throwing off the security points or causing them to not start the vehicle, they usually just throw the security light on and worst case senario kill the car a couple miles down the road... funny feature in some cars.
