Default 1998 bonneville water pump turns to major oil leak

hey guys my water pump went on me last sunday i replaced it the following tuesday when all said an done my oil pressure gage doesnt work at all. found out that i must of hit the oil pressure switch didnt think anything of it so i drove it and today i came home from work saw a trail of oil coming from my car and looked under it and saw a puddle of oil under it i dont know what it is i have some ideas but not sure any input would be great. im bringing it into work 2morrow ill keep posted if i find anything

Did you drop the power steering pump while working on the water pump? If so, chances are it inadvertanly hit the oil pressure switch.

yes i did take off the powersteering pump to get the water pump out and now im pissing out oil and hopeing its that and nothing esle but im heading to work now goin to check it out soon and hope that i can fix it ill keep posted thru the day

thanks for the help it was the switch it was broken right off replace it for 29 dollers and now no more oil leak
