Thanks! I will post the codes when I have them. Let me tell you though the transmission was not doing this until I had the fluid changed. There was no idle problem then. I had a new intake manifold put on last month or so and thats when the throttle began its mischief. Which is why I am taking it back for him to take a look at...

Well it looks like I have a bad Throttle position sensor. I took it by the shop and we hooked the computer up and it was shownig the TPS as bad. We unpluged the TPS and pluged it back in and it checked good this time. I got up this morning and started the car and the check engine light was back on and same old story with the high idle. I am going to replace the TPS today. I still have the transmission problem I noticed today if I raise the RPMs it will go on into gear without the two minute warm up.

The TPS has alot to say about the trans. If it sees your foot in the throttle (from a bad reading), it won't downshift. JSeabert'* went out a couple months ago, and it wouldn't go into OD at all. He noticed it when his fuel mileage took a dive.

Your PCM may not let the car into reverse if the RPM'* are too high, either. Protecting the tranny. I'm betting that TPS solves all your problems.
