Default 1995 Cruise Control sometimes working

Hello,

I am totally new here and i am from Holland. So excuse me when my English is bad.

I have a Bonneville model year 1995 SE.
When i want to drive on cruise its working sometimes. I tried to find any wiring diagrams for this vehicle but couldnt find one. I wanted to look at the switch which is mounted on the break pedal. I saw that i have 2 switches. 1 with 1 4-pins connector and the other one is with 2 4-pins connector. I dont know whihc one i need to take and which one is controlling the cruise with the right pins.

I heard from some ppl i know that Pontiac and Chevrolet had some problems with the CC switch on the steering column. But i want to checkthe switches first.

Can anyone help me out??

Thnx already for those who want to help me out.

Grtz. John

Hi John and Welcome to the Bonneville Forum!

Hopefully we can get one of our electrical gear heads in here that can provide a better answer than I can.

The Cruise Release Switch has a Gray and Brn wire going to it. Check that switch out.

ok, at my work i am an electrical engineer. But its hard to measure things without the diagrams.

The cruise release switch. When you press the brake is the switch going to open or closing? Or else i can try to put a bridge between those wires and then looking if i still have the problem sometimes.

Thnx for your info though, i realy apreciate that!
