Default 1994 SSEi Wheel Speed Sensor

I need to replace my right front wheel sensor. I've heard it must be replaced with the entire bearing/hub. Where is the best place to get this? Autozone Timken P/N 513087 is (US$140), wheras GMPartsdirect.com seems to be about $170 plus shipping. Any difference in these parts? Anyone tried to replace it themselves? I'm thinking i'd like to get the part and then go to my local mechanic.

Thanks, Brian

Not a very hard item to do if you have any mechanical experiance at all, ball joint, tie rods, etc. Definatly worth doing yourself $$ wise.

Esp. for Russianpolarbear, but also others:

Once i order the speed sensor/hub unit, the parts guy at the dealer said i'd also have to order the wiring harness in order to get the little metal clip that holds the wiring harness clip onto the hub. Does that sound right? These things are more confusing than i thought!

I did not have to order anything other than the hub and bearing. You will have to rent the large socket for the drive axle nut.

Lots of different models and too much time to manage techinfo, try using the search functions and post to the forums, we're all here to help
