Unhappy 1992 bonneville back firing through intake..........help me

I had a new icm put in my vehicle and since then i been getting backing through tha intake..
i took it to tha shop and they replaced tha fpr,and tha tps...also they installed new wires and coil...i still have tha same problem somebody pleas help

Did you check to make sure all the wires are connected to the correct plug?

If the problem started after changing the ICM, then the first thing I would do is put the ICM back on and see if it corrects the problem. If you don't have the old one, then try a different one.

Okay tried it......it idles fine just sputters and backfires when i accelerate

My first thought is ecm. When they go, they may never give you any info as to what'* going on...only drive you nuts.

Dan mentioned in a pm he'* thinking timing chain even though it'* super remote. GM gave us so much meat on the gears and chain that yeah it'* possible but really remote like Dan mentioned. If you search for that, you'll probably find quite a few that thought they had that issue and it ended up being something else.

I'd probably aim for ecm at this point. But that'* an off the hip reaction to what I've read. It'* not founded on any info, just gut feeling.
