My ABS engage on dry pavement at slow speed.
I would understand as being normal on ice and snowed pavement but this is not the case here
Have you had this kind of problem?

I had a similar problem when a wheel speed sensor was dying.

I had the same issue. It ended up being the ring that is on the axle that the sensor reads, it was cracked, so it wasn't reading it properly.

I had the same issue as well, it did that for about +/- 500mi and then poopoo blew both front WSS, idk about simultaneously, but by the time I figured out how to scan the ABS, both were blown. It'* not a bad thing.. just think of it as practice for the ABS pump LOL.

x4, i had same issue. it was the abs sensor.

crack in the wheel ring for me. It pulsed at every stop.

My local mechanic could not extract any abs malfunction codes since it is the first generation of ABS he said on the SSE 1988.
Since he cannot return any items to GM without knowing if this will fix the problem,
he recommend me to go to the GM dealer to find out what is faulty since they can try and return the parts replacement until they find the solution.
Someone told me that the abs sensor is connected to the wheel bearing and it comes with it. replacement cost ~400.00 each.
I am quite concerned that the dealer may want to build-up a hell of a bill. +$1000.00
I am wondering if ABS sensors can be dismantled and cleaned in situ without seeing bunch of hardware falling apart.
How did you making out with your sensor replacement?
Any help or suggestion will be very appreciated at this point... before being scalped by the dealer. LOL

If its a broken star wheel its as simple as changing the cv joint. You gotta get under there and inspect each wheel turning it slowly. My guess is its one of the front wheels as they see the most wear and heat.

dealer cost may be 400, but call ur local parts store. it will be drastically less. prob about 120-150
