Default What'* the fastest you've gone in your Bonneville!

Last night I had the overwhelming joy and anger of engaging the governer. I was happy to see my baby get up there with no problem but angry that it happened when I was trying to walk (a 90 something Crown Vic) down. No big deal his must have kicked in also cause he couldn't gain any ground in front of me.

Oh my speedo stopped past 115. I would guess 118 and my tach was around 4200.

The speedo goes up to 180 on mine...

Default When Montana was Free!

In 1998, I drove my family and I through the west. In Montana I set the cruise control at 110. Then I set it down to 105, for about 1 hour! At that speed I was getting less than 10mph with a full trunk and four in the vehicle :o

Then Montana put a speed limit on the hiways...

So, 110mph I guess.

Wow! I thought I had the Slowest Speedometer in the East. I "buried" my speedo(85 mph) for awhile on I-95 in Florida last year heading down to Miami after getting off the Auto-Train near Orlando. The legal limit on portions of I-95 is 70 mph.

Default speed

I had my 89'SSE up to 170 km/h- mind you it had over 400,000 KM on it.
I haven't really tested my '91 though ever since the timing chain was replaced....should do that sometime......

Not an 87-91, and certainly not heart thumping, but 95 mph on the way to the hosp with my very preg wife. Made it with only five minutes to spare. Not in that much of a hurry to find out where the gov is set. Probably a paltry 110-115 mph. What a waste of a perfectly capable supercharged engine.
