My 1989 Bonnie SE has developed a waterleak in the trunk, watertested it, seems to be coming in from the passenger side front of the trunk. Read a few other posts in this forum, sounds like they all point to the rear window needing to be resealed. I already resealed all other seams in the trunk, man! the fumes from the glue! lasted about 3 days.
I'm more than likely to get the window done, I'll keep everyone else who is having the problem updated.

Youre not kidding theyre a pain in the !@@#$#$@
and I do this all the time at work, diagnosing new Pontiacs though. My car has always been the last one to get worked on. Your '91 is in good shape, from what I can see.

Years ago when it was my dads car I..... we'd take turns climibing into the trunk with a flash light and spray water on the outside to see if we could find the leak.
Merlin'* idea is the best. Empty out the trunk, and have someone spray water while you try to look for the leak. Mine was on the taillights + the rear seal of the deck lid. Still have the leak.. but the taillight leak is gone, but the rear seal is still present, but if I know big rain is coming, I always have my carcover on so it'* always cool.

I've got the leak too. It seems to be nearly universal on these cars. I think it'* coming from the drivers side, near the front of the trunk, but from there... I really should gut the trunk, climb in, and turn on the sprinkler. I get sick of drying it out.

thats how we used to do it at work, and I was the lucky one who had to climb in, because every other tech at work is a little overweight
the compressed air and glass cleaner works great, we tried it, nothing. I even checked GM'* SI2000 for bulletins, nothing.
If you look at the right corner of the trunk near the rear window, there'* a seam where the 1/4 panel and trunk meet. inside the trunk, directly below that, is where the water is coming in. It seems the water is getting in between the overlapping panels. We're taking a look at it today, its supposed to rain here.
After this is fixed, the new gas tank and sender, and flex hoses are going in. Speaking of going in, gotta go to the Pontiac funny farm for another fun day.
