Hello bonnie family,

Question regarding cool temp sensors. How is easy, or how hard is it to change these sensors with general mechanic knowledge. Will it require a skilled mechanic, or can they be change by novices. . There are at least 2 sensors. One for the gauge, and one for the ECM. The locations for these sensors are; one under the throttle body, and where is the other sensor located?

Please as alway'* I look forward to the input. I would like to try and do this myself, providing it'* not that difficult. If anyone has pics of where these jokers are located would be greatly appreciated. .

My understanding is yes on the TB and maybe on the backside of the intake manifold behind throttle body on the other one. I'm not 100% (or could be giving you the wrong year info )

Easy to change if you can get to it. Darin off a little coolant Release connector... remove with socket..reinstall...reconnect connector...top off and burp coolant.

Yes there is one under the TB, the other one if I am not mistaken is on the passenger side of the engine close to the oil filter adapter, on the block, probably easier to get to from under it. I figured that is what it was when I was changing my engine since the oil pressure has the sensor mounted on the adapter for the filter. Plus it was a 1 wire plug leading to it.

It will have black and yellow wires going to it, on the intake somewear.
