Default Trans question

1st post here guys
91 Bonneville se 150,000 miles wife'* car
today i added about a quart of ATF to the trans wife took the car shopping she called and said she was having trouble keeping it running. i did find a vacuum line that was bad and replaced it. is there a chance the that the Modulator is bad? still won't idle right after i replace the line

Just adding some trans fluid shouldn't effect the idle like that. Something else is al play here. Did she drive threw any water? What is the idle doing? Is it just running slow? Or is it jumping around?

it just shuts off in park or drive. it will stay running if i keep my foot on the gas. kinda sounds like egr valve to me. where do the 2 vacuum lines go that come off the modulator?

Yes, check the EGR for vacuum leaks, one tube comes from the rear exhaust mainfold and the other goes to the LIM. If no leak then check for a stuck pintle in the EGR. Another thing to check is the PCV valve.
