Default Tail Light Interchangability?

I've got a cracked Driver'* side tail light on this 91 SSE.
If i can find a used one, that'll be jsut fine. Do any of the other GM Brands fit ? i.e. Buick/Olds

Thanks guys,
Rob

Just 87-91 Tails from Bonnevilles will interchange with each other. And with yours being an SSE Yours are styled different.

Someone who knows more will probably give u more info.

88-91 SSE bonnevilles have the same tails as you. The 87-91 SE and LE tails will fit but dont look the same.

Also, don't forget the SSE has amber turn signals in the rear. Don't think any '87s had this and for a number of years after that the LE'* and SE'* did not have amber rear turn signals. I think in '89 or '90 when they restyled the LE and SE did they receive the amber turns.

This is more than a simple lens issue as the the brake lights on the non-amber signal cars blinked as opposed to just the amber signals.

Just to give a bit more info.

Just as confirmation from the Buick/Olds world, none of our tails will fit due to the changes in the rear quarters, deck lid, rear header, bumper, etc. It was one of GM'* tricks to use the same frame for all of its subdivisions, but to change the sheetmetal to fit different style sheetmetal like quarters and fenders, etc.

Anyway, if you go junkyarding and find a nice set of tails, then it won't really matter what they came off of as long as they match. But... personally I'd stick with the SSE tails as I think they look better.
