Default stupid air ride question 89sse

I realize that i probably need to replace my rear shocks and springs because the rear of my car is about an inch lower than the front, but i was wondering if there was a way to raise it up somehow with the inflator in the trunk since it runs off the same pump. i dont know if it would bypass the inflator hose if it wasnt attached and fill the shocks instead. Is there a way to make it do this or would i just burn out the pump trying?

Not sure if this will work for our years, but someone else should be able to help you out...

That will work for our gen, however if your bags are original, they have probably failed. Does the pump run? Does it run excessively? If it does, does it raise the car up during that time?

Possibilites:
bags failed [age related]
pump failed

If the pump works, the bags have failed.

The pump comes on occasionally but it only runs for 3 to 5 seconds and doesnt make too much of a differince in height if any at all. But the car isnt exactly on the ground its about an inch too low.
I was just hoping i could set it to the right height and hope it stays there

I have F41, and mine sags about 1-2" I have had mine disconnected over winter [maybe about 6 months by now]. However, my front end is up about 4" which may make a difference in the rear height .

Well the adjustment worked for the height but unforrunately i can tell there is still a problem. I think i need to replace the springs, struts and strut mounts because there is still a noticeable tow on the rear wheels from top to bottom. But other than that shes sitttin pretty and seems to have a better ride than before , thanks for the help
