Default SSE turned over 200,000 miles tonight

The external temperature said 5 degrees F. Snow coming down, packing on the roadways. As I exited the freeway, it started the slow transitition from 199999 to 200000. 5 miles later, the "2" and the first couple of "0"* haven't quite clicked into place, but then it'* been a long while since that first digit moved.

Of course, the transmission only has about 30k on it, and engine somewhere around 82k, but I'm sure that wouldn't affect the KBB value, would it?!!!

Friday it leaves from Colorado to spend the weekend in Montana. The weather is supposed to be better. This will be the first real road trip for the L27.

Yeah, L27. The LN3 quit with a little over 196k miles. Cam bearing, low oil pressure, kept driving it, eventually the cam broke. I found a '91 Park Avenue engine & transmission on eBay, cost me $400 to get it here (including the "winning" price). When it arrived I discovered Buick switched over to the L27 in the Park Avenue in '91. I had a few threads going late last summer on what it took to get the long block under the LN3 induction. Then discovered it had some weak cylinders, it'* starting to straighten out now (was probably left out in the elements after being removed from the car).

We'll be taking I-25 up to I-90, through Billings and then 2 lanes to Great Falls. Driving home Monday. We did the I-15 thing when we lived in San Diego and the speed limit was 55. Took 3 days each way to make the trip. You don't do that very often on 2 weeks vacation a year with 3 small children. This time it'* just the wife and me.

I think they are meaning "Welcome to the sub-club.", lol.

Anyway, I would guess that there has probably been a thread here somewhere polling how many have over 200k miles on their bonnes, and if not, there should be. I expect that there are many more here.

Now how many would you think have about 300,000 miles? That would be something.

This Bonne has got to be the most reliable car I have ever owned. I just wish I could afford a 2005. Oh well.....wishfull thinking on my part.
