Shifting out of park

Shifting out of park
Hello Bonney owners. Our 91 Bonne won't shift out of park . I push on the brake pedal and have to either hit the **** on the side of consel lever or wiggle the lever and finelly it will go into reverse and then into overdrive. What kind of adjustment can I make. thanks duncan
