My SSE sits high in the front. Does anyone else have this problem? My compressor is still out for the rear so I put "helpers" in the rear springs to level it off. Will new struts have any effect on height?

I'm not sure why it would sit high in the front unless you are mistaking a high front for a low rear. Has anyone made any modifications to the front suspension?

Only thing I did is tweek the track bar in the rear so I got a rake like muscle cars. Only thing I could think of in this problem is something like new struts or ELC has gone to crap?

Umm.. that'* a bad idea.

well raising the rear is great for launching.. but I don't know about the whole effect it will have on the struts.. if they are old, they could blow under the pressure.. and then you've got yourself a bonne sitting on her arse .

It'* only about an inch difference on my car. Does great launches and have never had a problem with it set like that. Struts don't complain and it'* still stable at 115 on a kinda rough back country paved road.

See, you have a newer bonnie. My struts failed two years ago, and if you have a '90 [for example] that is 15 years old [ease of math]. Your car is just 10 years old. See the difference. I think it would be hell on a strut to be at 45 [or whatever] PSI for 14 years, then all the sudden get 80PSI... think of the conformity that went on, and the stretching of the rubber. Chances are the struts have failed. If you hear the compressor running, then they are shot. Unplug the compressor [driver'* side, near the air box] before it goes downhill too. If you DON'T hear the compressor running, then that may be the problem.

Yeah, pump went out on the ELC. I have the front a rear level now and maybe it was like that when new. It'* been like this for a long time. No big deal and does not look too bad.

Did you replace the pump? If you didn't, you should, because it is bad to have the suspension bottomed out like that.

Tried several salvage yard units and all were bad. New one is too expensive. I boght some "spring helpers" from a local parts store and it keeps it level and we don't load a bunch of stuff in it to make it bottom out.
