I didn't provide an update to this post, but here goes.
I got a new catalytic converter, new pipes, and a dual out muffler. All are maremont OEM replacement units. Its better than the old pipes. Its quieter, and works some good! Wide open throttle in the cold, billows out a nice puff of white condensation smoke, which looks nice as I take off, lol.
I was able to get these items at a better price, as I work for a shop now. the long pipe was like 39.99 so thats not too bad.
I also put some good winter tires on. Dean Wintercats, and they have a really nice threads that get a real good grip on snow, yet cuts through slush with ease. They work extremely well, and keep the car from sliding, and the tires from spinning quite well. I'd recommend them to anyone, I'm that impressed, and they were a good price too!
