Default Rear Brake Light Bulbs - Strange Results!

Bought some 1156 bulbs for my rear right brakelight and when I installed it the left blinker and stoplight work fine but the right one won't blink, when activated it blinks like the hazard lights are on but the brake light works. My local auto shops book said use 1156 bulbs for a 89 Olds Delta 88 but my left bulb(the working one) has a 2057 bulb in it.

Whats the correct bulb for an 89 Olds Delta 88?

If the 2057 is working, then replace with the same kind.
