Mine is a confirmed heat shield rattle. Got my auto teacher to look at it, didn't even have to think about it, heat shield rattle. Mine sounds internal as well.. sounds like it is coming right from the flywheel too. Check your heatshields wj.... if any of them are loose, you should consider replacing the rivits. PITA because you have to pull them off....

The easiest way to reproduce mine is going under the hood, engine running, the throttle has like the first 1/4" of movement real easy to push then past that is harder.. well push it down that 1/4" then let off, it'll make that rattle with a slight delay after the decel starts. Under no load btw.

Common problem on our cars. Its best to check them first.

It'* tough to say man... the last 5sec makes me believe it sounded fairly similar to the heatshields... but the engine noise really drowns it out. I don't have a camcorder but I do have a decent phone.. I'll try tomorrow to see if it'll pick it up.

On a side note, I have the same little bolt thing broken on my grille.

let me also add, that was NOT warmed up. that was from a dead cold start. it seems more apparent after the engine is at full operating temp.

and haha, so whats up with that grille? it was like that when i got the car...

I will take another vid after i get home tomorrow.

As of today, the heatshield is rattling differently now, and just about all the time, especially on 55+ cruise and on braking [loudest]. It'* now a high pitched noise.. very annoying. Gotta turn the radio up that much higher. Looks like the old motor'* headers are going on tomorrow.

That'* creepy dude. On top of that, your guages match mine perfectly. All my secondary gauges and the way the car idles off of reving it'* weird.

I don't hear anything weird though?
